These are stories from my heart as I experienced life in East Africa and at home. Stories of God's glory while I walk with Him through life as a girl desiring to follow Jesus to the ends of the earth. What are we willing to "waste" for Him?

Ready or Not...
...here I go!
Despite my inability to update you frequently, and that it was my rookie attempt at raising more-than-I-want-to-know of funding, God has provided all of my finances for Uganda! Now I can prepare to go and teach.
Here is a refresher of what I will be doing: I will be helping with an autism program at Kyambogo University in Kampala, Uganda (the capital city) for a year. My goal is to help the growing Special Education ministry in the country; to help the teachers and to help the students. I also don't want to burst into the program with my accumulated knowledge and take over. Honestly, I don't know what God's purpose is in sending me. I don't know when I'll know that detail. I'll keep you posted, though. However, I do know that I am going even with these unknowns.
I am reminded every day of the many blessings I have and I am truly humbled. I don't deserve hardly anything or anyone I have in my life. You have all blown me away with your generosity.
Thanks to all who supported me, prayed for me, encouraged me, listened to me babble, hugged me, gave me a free drink (thanks, Starbucks guy!), and anyone at all who cares for me even just a little. Thank you. I couldn't follow God's calling without you and because of that you will be there with me. It sure couldn't be done by one! God used you all.
Starting Friday, I will be updating you a little bit as I travel from Denver to Washington DC to Brussels to Uganda. Once I am there safely, I'll take a couple weeks off from technology as I "cast my anchor" in my new home.
I just need prayer as more emotions (including excitement) surface. Smooth travel, peace, and safety are the most immediate requests.
Thank you all again for the love and support.
Mungu awabariki sana (God bless you all very much)!
